Some memories came back then Wots.... Gold rush! hadnt thought about that in years but suddenly, i was about 8 again and could actually feel and taste those little pyramid shaped bits.

I seem to remember a story though that they tried to ban this ad because the girl places the tip of her tongue on the Flake as she takes a bite and that.. apparently was too similar to fellatio which the ad was trying to invoke anyway.

I've noticed we still get incredibly sexist adverts for cleaning products or kitchen/food products. Almost invariably featuring the 'housewife'.

We also still get adverts for bullshit food products, especially those little pots of what looks like vaginal discharge, that promise the eater to suddenly have a slim perfect model figure and have a wardrobe that could only have been chosen by a professional wardrobe designer.

Brilliant. That brought some memories back.

Always used to get CurlyWurlys when I was a kid, mainly cause they lasted ages compared to other chocolate bars. Think I saw some cola cubes in there as well, another one of my favs.

Our corner shop still does quarters of sweets (well grams.....fuck off Europe) and I occasionally get some, usually strawberry bon bons which I love.

They still sell Black Jacks round ere.
Loved Highland toffee.
What's that sherbert thing they used to do. With a licorice stick in, was it a sherbert fountain?

I must have got through a truckload of acid drops when I was at school. We had a tuck shop run by one of the teachers that was open during breaks and lunches, flogging sweets, always a long queue.
