I love these kitsch ladies.

I'm a bit disappointed I cant find really fab pictures to illustrate my passion for these guys.

I have a collection of vintage patterns ( and modern ones too - yep, they are still being published!) and am always on the lookout for more.

Its my favourite housewarming present to give some-one - a crochet poodle toilet roll cover. Mint green is particularly good.

and here's a whole zoo of 'em...

I tend to associate toilet roll covers with toilet seat covers -

- which are usually of the exact thickness to allow the lid and seat to appear to balance in the up position when a bloke is relieving himself.

However, the fluffy material usually has sufficient springiness to cause the seat to fall down halfway through the process, causing an instinctive reaction in the piddler to catch the seat. This results in a wet stain on the carpet - such bathrooms are always carpeted.

Mopping the stain with toilet paper is only partially succesful, thus allowing the home owner to dismiss the visitor as a clumbsy, ill mannered oaf who should never be allowed to darken the door again. Which is probably a good thing for all concerned. :):
