hiya peaceful. Yes there's some. True Red is about to give birth in the near future and GIR has a young 'un. Me? I've got two doggies. They are my babies. I refuse to breast feed them though.

I infact has two - a boy of 5 and a girl of 19 months. First labour = 14 hours, occipito-posterior (back birth), epidural, stitches. Second labour = 20 hours, freak-show injury, epidural, stitches. They were both pretty grim.

Well I have to say I was very lucky with my 1st who is now 8!
I didn't realise I was in labour, he was 2 weeks early. By the time my mother convinced my to go phone the hospital, the contractions were lasting a minute a time, and 5 minutes apart! They gave me an hour and I went in, at lunch time, and little was born at 3pm! Gas and air only, no stitches, nice and easy - home the same day!

I was lucky also. Went to docs at 39/6 complaining of a headache and sickness...he checked my bp and urine and sent me off to the hospital to be induced (i now know he thought i had the beginnings of pre eclampsia) as i got out of the doctors to calll O/H I realised that I had had a pain in my pelvis on and off the whole morning, and felt slightly 'damp' down below. By the time we got to the hospital to be induced, I had to ask her to check that I wan't already started... she was unwilling to do this, and had also said the doc was wrong and no need to induce me. She finally checed and...you guessed it... my for waters had gone and was having mild contractions. Was sent home and booked in fir an induction the next morn. This was 6pm. By 11pm the contractions were coming every 5 mins lasting for 30secs and my waters went at 11.50... babs was born at 4.03....established labour 5hours...pushing for 1/2 hour. Babes = 6lbs 2oz.
