Thanks Smeggs. :)

Wot's something like that :thumb:

Thought it would be good to have a section dedicated to all things parenting - seeing as we don't have a parenting handbook. So any topics relating to kids:
Fussy eaters
Keeping the little angels busy during school hols,
Discipline
Sibling rivlary
etc...

fussy eaters---don't force anything on them!!

they'll eat when they're hungry.
involve them when you're making meals--kids are more likely to eat stuff if they've helped prepare it.

even in this techno age--kids love the low tech stuff. it's all messy but they still love to paint.
they still love glueing stuff. think blue peter.

That's the way I think Robinnia. Though it can be a worry. For example, one of our friends son, won't eat anything much at all. His diet mainly consists of dry toast, pizza with no topping, Macdonalds chips. But give him crisps and chocolate and he'll eat most of that. She's at the end of her tether, does she keep giving him junk food as he'll eat it, or make him eat proper food, which more than likely he won't touch?

I agree with the craft's too, but sometimes it's good to discuss and get extra inspiration. I thought it might also be a good place to talk about day's out etc, museums, attractions, good beaches etc.

My Very closest friend and her Daughter, husband took the kids to Legoland last year and they loved it, also had a trip to centerpacs which they also loved. When I rang up to see if they enjoyed their break I got both of the children trying to get a word in to say how much they loved it.....! :) Awww

kill 2 birds with one stone--get a few pocket guides to plants/ birds/insects/mushrooms/coastal creatures etc and take them on a walk and start spotting stuff.

i have a 5 yr old nephew and he is fascinated by bats and insects--we've learned alot together. my sister passes all the sciencey/nature stuff onto me because her son's questions make her feel stupid.

in the local papers-normally the free ones you get adverts for badger watching and bat talks. kids seem to like that sort of thing.

i liked doing stuff like this with my own kids--sigh. :thumb:

It will probably be the weekend before I can get back to spend anytime here. :thumb:
