If I remember right they weren't too keen on the toon being used for Labour in '97. Maybe they thought that Tony was a Thatcher suck-up and would cock up as badly as she did. :)

Lyndsey De Paul was a Thatcher fan, if they'd asked she'd have written a piece for them.

I wasn't a great fan of any of the above-mentioned, but 64 is too soon to die really.

At the time the D:Ream track was released (originally) didnt some people think it could be used as a Tory song? :shrug:
