Brown panics over Glenrothes by-election |
Commenting on reports in today’s Daily Record that Gordon Brown is to direct Labour’s campaign in the Glenrothes by-election SNP MSP for Central Fife Tricia Marwick said:
“People in Glenrothes constituency know that it is the SNP that has delivered real benefits for them and their families in the last 12 months by scrapping tolls on the Forth and Tay bridges, investing in new police and reducing business rates and prescription charges.
“In contrast Gordon Brown’s Labour government has done nothing while people in Fife have felt the burden of rising food, fuel and energy costs.

More Scots identify with SNP in new poll |
The SNP-commissioned YouGov poll shows that, underlying the SNP’s record support, the SNP are rated more highly than the other parties in the qualities that people look for in a political party.
In addition, the Scottish sample from last week’s YouGov poll for News of the World points to an important development in Scottish political attitudes – people now identify with the SNP ahead of the Labour Party.

Scots happier than rest of UK |

Energy prices rising three times as fast as wages |

Glasgow East motorists hit by soaring road tax |
